Chasing Truth Behind the Label
Secure the highest quality protein for your family while ensuring Axis deer herds stay healthy and Hawaiian ecosystems thrive. Without consistent culling, deer overpopulate, leading to plants and animals suffering.
We are opening this first circle to 250 families - we honor our commitment to each member. Anyone who has paid attention to their health and the quality of their food has chased the truth behind the labels and certifications. The problem is that whenever we find the “answer”, the rug is pulled out from underneath us
First, we were told Organic was the only way to go. Then we found out that MORE pesticides are used (just organic-approved ones)!
Then we were told to eat grass-fed only to find out that the meat industry finished animals with corn. How about 100% grass-fed and grass-finished? Welp. The meat industry can sell you 100% grass-fed, grass-finished meat while still feeding up to 12% genetically modified soy (without disclosing it).
Regenerative agriculture and holistic grazing must be the answer, right? Not quite.
No matter how animals are raised, they must all be transported and killed at a USDA slaughterhouse facility. In one study, a few hours of capture, transport, and killing caused 69% of cows to go from healthy blood markers to hyperglycemic. Their stress hormones, specifically cortisol, were so high that 67% were considered “high” or “very high” in stress.
If it feels like playing a game of whack-a-mole of deception, manipulation, and lies, that’s because we are.
Every. Single. Time.

A Letter from Mansal, Founder of Sacred Hunting & Real Provisions
For many years, I have been saddened by the lack of ethical meat options in the food system. With help from my wife and eight families from the Sacred Hunting community, I created Real Provisions for the good of all.
We produce wild, animal-based foods that meet the highest ethical standards and have the richest nutrient density.
For the Good of All
The seeds of Real Provisions were planted in 2018 with an accidental, yet powerful, transformational experience that became known as Sacred Hunting. With mentorship from spiritual teachers and a fateful bow hunting trip, I experienced my first meal that I killed and consumed myself. The power and awe I felt having that level of connection to my food forever changed me and I wanted to share that experience with others.
Over the course of seven years, hundreds of men and women attended the intimate Sacred Hunting experiences to learn about hunting, understanding that taking life is a meaningful responsibility worthy of care and reverence.
Each year, I make the pilgrimage to Molokai, Hawaii, a remote island with incredible charm, to hunt the non-native axis deer. These herds have gotten so large that they are destroying sensitive native ecosystems. The soil health has deteriorated, and plant diversity has suffered. The native Hawaiians honor this abundant source of nutrition while also lamenting the destruction of their homeland.
Even the deer suffer. During droughts, when struggling with a lack of food, many deer eat poisonous vegetation, causing them incredible suffering. Hunting and eating these deer helps the herd. It supports the local Hawaiians, and it heals the land.
We travel to Hawaii to hunt because it is for the good of all.

Better Ethics = Better Nutrition
Vegans and vegetarians, some who have not consumed meat in 10 years, attend Sacred Hunting experiences to hunt the most ethical and cleanest meat on the planet.
Most cow operations separate social units, creating stress and pain. Imagine being a mother cow with all mammalian instincts telling you to take care of your calf, only for humans to remove and isolate them. Domestication makes animals more compliant rather than sovereign and self-reliant. Over generations, the confines on these cows alters their genetic expression. Even in the best-case scenario, animals that are taken to USDA slaughterhouse facilities experience incredible stress from being moved to harsh environments, confined for long periods, and finally killed in a mechanized way.
To the vegans and vegetarians who have attended Sacred Hunting experiences as well as all who care about animals, none of this is ethical.
But better ethics for animals means better nutrition for humans.
Animals that grow and thrive in the wild, away from industrial cruelties, are healthier and more nutritious.
Micronutrient analysis has found that our wild axis deer have a 28-50 times richer micronutrient profile than even grass-fed beef. There are 2-5 times more Vitamin A and B and 64 times more omega-3 fatty acids!
It’s clear that what we do to nature, we do to ourselves.

From Our Community to Yours
I created Real Provisions to supply wild, whole-animal foods as close to the source as possible – no protein powders, no abused animals – just pure, unadulterated, and high-protein wild game snacks. I feel the most connected to humanity and my fellow human beings when I'm feeding others. I've found an immense pride and joy in cooking nutritious, wild, real food for my wife, my friends, and my family.
Now I'm ready to broaden the circle and reach a community of people who care about the quality and ethics of what they eat.
This is the food I want to feed my children, the kind I want to share with my friends, and a small community of like-minded people.
I hope you enjoy our efforts.
With love.
